GREETINGS!!
Forgive me for not writing more.. with my new job venture I haven't made the time to blog.. I spend my nights cleaning the house so when I leave the next morning.. my heart won't sink.. if there is a sink full of dishes or laundry hanging around!

Thought I would share our Christmas tree that we cut down..

This was our FIRST choice for our tree... it was HUGE.. but we had all decided this was the ONE... until hubby bent down to cut it down.. and proclaimed that it wasn't happening because it had TWO bases.. NOT ONE.. so it was two trees grown together...
So we went with this one.. we trimmed up the bottom a bit so it doesn't look shabby...
TIMBER!!!!

It pays to have a BIG and STRONG husband.. he carried that tree and that was baled up!!
Now it's up and decorated.. and I'll share a picture of it later... I'm still playing with my new camera and want to get a GREAT night time picture...

On a sad note.. my dear sweet daughter got this letter...

I can NOT take the credit in writing it.. I got it off the twopeas message board.. I giggled the whole time preparing it.. BUT... get this.. Went to the post office and the lady would NOT.. absolutely REFUSED to let me buy ONE Christmas Stamp.. I could buy a book BUT NOT ONE stamp.. how ridiculous is that????? I did NOT buy the book.. you want to do something stupid like that.. I'm not buying it..

There is a fabulous blog out there.. that gave me this idea... Capture the Moment...they make great gift "packages" for $$

How are all your holiday preparations coming along????

I love the letter...I saw that thread on 2 Peas. What did your daughter say?! Oh...and by the way...the post office HAS TO sell you ONE stamp. That is ridiculous! You are nicer than me, I would have thrown a total holy fit!!!!

Beautiful tree and I love the $$ holder! Super cute!

um, yeah about them not selling you one stamp....that is absolutely insane!! I have bought singletons from my local post office tons of times. You must have a grouchy gussy working behind your counter. That stinks and sorry you had so much trouble! But the letter did turn out super cute. I see a scrapbook page comin' on! :)

My goodness that tree is massive. Bet your hubby was a little relieved not to have to carry that one! LOL.

The letter is hilarious. I'll have to remember that when my girl, who's birthday is Christmas Day, turns 18.

I know what you mean about the blogging - it's always difficult to find a time to post between real work and life getting in the way.

That note is too clever and I can't wait to see your tree decorated. You'll certainly have to post some photos.

And I too got a little peaved about the stamps this year. I needed 70 for my Christmas cards and they would only sell them in books of 20. I don't remember them doing that in the past? So, I only bought 60 - very ridiculous! :)
