*** Don't get me wrong.. I respect our government.. and there is probably a TON of RED TAPE on oil.. I just thought the whole Garfield thing was cute!!! I don't pretend to KNOW anything in politics..not my cup of tea!!

Well.. today in a group I'm in.. we got into an intense topic... the topic about the MARK OF THE BEAST... I'm going to be honest with you.. the book of Revelations TERRIFIES ME!... Because in essence it's so revealing.. it's so easy to read scripture and say.. "The Lord says to do this.. the Lord says to be this way.. we are to train a child up.. etc."... but when the Lord talks about the comings of the anti-christ my heart sinks.

Perhaps my heart sinks because I have so much faith in the bible that I KNOW in my hearts that it will come. If it doesn't come in my time.. will it come in my children's and their children's? Will they be fooled.. or will they suffer because their love for Christ is strong...??

The topic of microchips came up. We chip our animals if they get lost ( well some of us do.. I never have)... I guess though now they are trying to microchip people with Alzheimer's. I don't agree with that... here is a web-site verichip It looks sweet and pretty and oh so wonderful.. but is it truly necessary?

Do you hear my new song? I LOVE IT!! infact I LOVE his voice.. it's tremendously amazing.. sadly he's not a Christian artist... but to me .. his music is NOT offensive... he's married and has the most adorable little boy. I love music.. but I think you've all figured that out by now.. LOL LOL... My daughter was very fortunate to see him play in a small club in Burlington VT.. oh how I wanted to go... but I let her go with her boyfriend.. who .. had never been to a concert either...

Now.. myself.. I have been to WAY to many concerts.. B.C. ( Before Christ).. You know the BIG HAIR BAND days... Funny thing is.. to this day.. I don't really remember them..Maybe because I strive for the memories that I have with the wonderful family I have now? Maybe when I did get saved.. I have really left the past.. in the past.. and have become NEW!!

Living to tell the story I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blog.. she's a real gal.. she shares her tears, her laughter and even her toes every once in awhile!! She has teens.. and I love hearing her stories and can relate to them.. PLUS I owe her a recipe.. Lemon Squares.. I didn't forget.. I promise!!

Well.. I was down a computer for a few days.. so I had a delay.. yet again .. in posting on my blog.. but the good news.. I was spending my TIME reading YADA YADA Prayer group on my NEW DECK!!!!!!! I'm at a part where I just melted for one of the characters and actually CRIED!!! many books DO NOT move me like this.. but there is something about this series.. where Bad things happen to "good" people... just pops out at you.. and I love reading about how Christian Women are REAL humans and make mistakes and have secrets of their own... Because we say we are Christians MEANS we are saying we are IMPERFECT.. sometimes I wish the rest of the world would see that too..

Have you ever told someone that you are a Christian.. and then they start acting all funny on you... and then when you make that *GASP* first human mistake.. it gets thrown in your face.. HARD?? This is why I like these books.. they are fiction.. yet.. as a Christian I can relate...

I am NOT perfect.... I am a Christian!!! WOW that feels kind of good to say!!! Because if I were perfect.. I wouldn't NEED Christ... and what a sad sad world I would live in!!! I am ever so grateful for our great and wonderful Teacher.. and I am ever so grateful for all the people He has brought into my life to teach me about various things in my life... !!!

My.. How summer is just flying before my eyes... Before I know it.. all the winter sweaters that I have yet to get around to putting "away" for summer will remain where they are.. a heap in my closet... But Fall's my favorite time of year.. so I won't complain.. however.. I do believe my cat is making a bed out of them... hmmmm...

Anyway.. my summer that I am suppose to have off.. has come to a screeching HALT... GROWL GROWL... Why oh Why can others NOT get my job down.. it's not hard.. it's insanely easy and ooberly workable... so what is the deal? My boss wanted to send me to New York for 2 weeks.. 5 HOUR DRIVE for the insane girl who HATES car rides... PLUS I would be away from my kids... for two weeks.. the ones I'm suppose to spend all summer with... I declined... and I'm glad.. it would have been GREAT money.. but so not worth it to me.. With Mr. Flipflop working nights.. NO WAY would I leave the kids home alone...

Any how.. my boss man is stalking me.. He's using words like " I really need you there".. "no one else can do it like you".. "can you clean up the inventory?" "People at the hospital are asking for you"... To be honest.. I do not like a vast majority of the people I work with...well.. I mean I like them.. but do not like the way they manage things.. it's poorly run for a healthcare situation... drives me insane... completely..

Anyway.. I have been sooooooooo lacking in reading my Favorite Blogs and responding... so I need to get back to it... With all that is going on around here.. I need to find a bit more time for the ones I love to read.. and respond too.. ( I try to respond to ALL) ...

But let me share some progress on the house.. this contractor is FANTABULOUS!!! if you live in NH or around.. HIGHLY recommend him... and as Mr. Flipflop said today "If my wife says you're doing a good job.. then you are seriously doing a good job"... Got to love my hubby...

Tuesday Morning... I get up early take my dog out... open my front door and PAUSED....

Third time in three years....

Everything in my glove box... on my front seat... my box of tissues laying out side my car...

STUPID little JERKS stole OXYCODONE from someone Else's car and left the bottle by my car

I stomped into the house.. yelled at husband and went to grab the phone.. only to realize....City Hall called us at 2:33 am...

Hello... Ummm.. Mr. Flipflopmom.. um we were doing routine patrol and noticed someone broke into your car.. we have an officer outside your door right now..

I didn't hear the phone ring.. and neither did the two boys passed out in my living room... UGH...

They came back and got info from us... nothing was missing... UNTIL......................

Mr. FlipFlopmom went to grab for his wallet on top of the fridge... umm UH OH.. no wallet...

You guessed it.. IN THE CAR that was LEFT unlocked... Flipflop family usually.... does NOT carry cash... guess what.. that night we did.. BASEBALL CASH!! UGH...

Police came back.. gave info..

We scattered and checked the neighborhood for the wallet with the goods.. ( we knew the cash would be gone... but.. knew that the kids wouldn't take the cards)

We found NOTHING...

The old man that drives us INSANE in our neighborhood.. finds Mr. FlipFlops fishing license.. stuck in the man hole drain...

I told you the man was INSANE he CLEANS these holes...

Fortunately.. we are lucky to have an INSANE neighbor...

We found the wallet.. NO license.. NO work ID.. debit card was destroyed but the library card made it...

UGH... what a frustrating day that was... talk about EMOTIONS flying... WAIT.. RAGING!!

Well.. my neighbor ( different one) informs me last night he saw 4 teens.. HEARD them get into my car... he then called the police... they made it through the neighborhood before the police came... they were talking about cell phones and computers he said...

I asked him.. "Why didn't you yell.. I CALLED THE COPS.. or something if you didn't want to confront them... they would have ran.. would have saved some people some heartache " ( they slashed open someones convertible top... UGH...

But notice.. how this neighbor CALLED the COPS.. but on my answering machine the dispatch stated they were doing "routine" patrol... SWEET!! NOT.. don't lie to me!!

BUTTTTTT... on top of all this heartache.. ONE positive happened today... after 7 years.. TODAY was THE GRAND OFFICIAL day.. of the start of our new DECK!~! wooo hooo.. we have waited so long for this... Here is a beginning picture...

Because this is a mom of inspiration... determination...Isn't afraid to get cake batter on the floor to see her children's eyes light up.. Her faith in the Lord is PROMINENT... God has brought her through the hardest trial a parent could EVER face.. and her heart and spirit are still filled with joy for others... She totally rocks!!

Many have asked about me NOT having a Bellybutton... well...I guess many of you have NOT seen this video then... take a few minutes and watch it.. to me it's HYSTERICAL.... We constantly sing this.... Have a GREAT GREAT weekend everybody!!!

Our 4th of July was not to eventful this year! As you can see my poor pitiful fireworks had to be watched from home because it was POURING outside... I ran down the end of my street and snapped this photo. As you can see from the other photos it was hazey and a tad bit humid yesterday.. we all knew the ran was going to come down. I proceeded to cook for the event while the kids swam and the guys played horseshoes... Before the rain came we decided to play volleyball...

One of the ladies playing stepped on a piece of pipe in the yard which led to trying to figure out what it went to.. as you got a little deeper in the ground we found a dog collar... OH MY.. I wanted them to stop digging cause you never know what you could find under that!! YIKES.. come to find out.. it was just a pipe put in the ground to hook up a dog.. PHEW!!

Anyway.. I made YUMMY YUMMY LEMON BARS and Homemade Lemonade....Those were gone before the meal was even cooked!! It was to hot to bring chocolate!!

I am GRATEFUL for the freedom we have in this country to honor God, Worship, and have a glorious day off to spend with friends and family! I thank all the Men and Women in the military who to this day still fight for our Freedom and for the families who sacrifice all they have for their loved ones to keep us FREE!!

Happy JULY!!! I can't believe how fast June went... I think that was the fastest month of the year for me... but honestly I can't believe that the 4th is tomorrow!!!

Well.. guess what I did this weekend?? I went Strawberry picking... again with a girlfriend.. and then came home and made Strawberry Jam!! OH MY!! It truly wasn't that bad... the longest and hardest part was waiting for the mixture to reach 220 degrees ( and it actually never did!!)... Guess the old saying "A watched pot never boils" is correct.. Ü Here are a couple of pictures of the end product... of course I had to cutsie it up for ya all!!!

I love the art of canning... I love the art of making something for my family that is fresh and wholesome... I realize it's a LOT of work.. but the out come to me is super exciting! I wonder if the women a 100 plus years ago got as excited as I did or if it was considered a "chore" and moved fast to get it done like we do daily chores now... Actually from things I've read in the past groups of women would come together and can their products to help one another. Maybe that's why I love it when friends come over and can with me. Most of my friends are SCARED of the process so they'll say "Hey.. you cook I'll cut and wash dishes".. and 90 % of the time that does happen!! and that's ok with me.

Titus 2 4-5 states "Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the world of God."

I might not be physically of age older than my friends ( I tend to be the youngest) but when it comes to cooking and housework I tend to be the "older" and "wiser"... so I share my love of the art with others... Someone needs a recipe... they come to me.. or an ingredient that they don't have.. what can they use? "Homework" is my passion... I love to clean.. love to organize.. and I love to make my home feel like a place to come and rest.

Making the canned strawberry Jam with a girlfriend was fun.. it was great to see the excitement on her face.. I was saving mine for Christmas gifts..she said her family would never let her do that.. LOL LOL... Now that it has been two days and the word is out that I made Jam.. I am down 3 jars already.... Should I take that as a compliment Ü My daughters boyfriends says "I'm tanking this jar of jam tomorrow morning...".. hmm tanking it...??? Teenage slang.. I'm thinking he likes it!! Ü
