Okkkkkkkkkkkkkk I got this blogger button.. again!!! Thank You Cajunquilter.. this is what she said...
I know I shouldn't do this to you, but you are one of my closest, dearest friends even though we have never met in person. You are amazing in the love you have for others, especially the children God has put in your path. You show much grace and wisdom in your dealing with them, and with your own children. I love how you enjoy taking care of your family and everyone else that God sends your way. You and I share a heart for the old ways of homemaking and that is awesome to me.
She is the sweetest person!! I tell ya!!! You HAVE to read her blog.. you just got to if you haven't ever!!! **** I'm going to give buttons to 5 more people.. and I can't wait.. I'll tell you who.. hopefully tomorrow!!!
Well.. I was down a computer for a few days.. so I had a delay.. yet again .. in posting on my blog.. but the good news.. I was spending my TIME reading YADA YADA Prayer group on my NEW DECK!!!!!!! I'm at a part where I just melted for one of the characters and actually CRIED!!! many books DO NOT move me like this.. but there is something about this series.. where Bad things happen to "good" people... just pops out at you.. and I love reading about how Christian Women are REAL humans and make mistakes and have secrets of their own... Because we say we are Christians MEANS we are saying we are IMPERFECT.. sometimes I wish the rest of the world would see that too..
Have you ever told someone that you are a Christian.. and then they start acting all funny on you... and then when you make that *GASP* first human mistake.. it gets thrown in your face.. HARD?? This is why I like these books.. they are fiction.. yet.. as a Christian I can relate...
I am NOT perfect.... I am a Christian!!! WOW that feels kind of good to say!!! Because if I were perfect.. I wouldn't NEED Christ... and what a sad sad world I would live in!!! I am ever so grateful for our great and wonderful Teacher.. and I am ever so grateful for all the people He has brought into my life to teach me about various things in my life... !!!
Sooooooooooo tell me what you think?? Do you like the deck?? It's huge.. bigger than I imagined.. and I wish I could move my computer out there.. LOL LOL...
You are ALL invited to come over anytime.. and sit with me.. I don't have much furniture right now.. but that's what end of the season sale is for.. .RIGHT????

Holy Cow! Look at how awesome that deck turned out!! Congrats on getting the rockin blogger award again. It just goes to show how much people on here love an appreciate the kind of person you are. And I am glad you're back. :)
beautiful deck, girl!
i will be sitting here, broiling in the heat and living vicariously thru you!
By the way, I just wanted to add that I know EXACTLY what you mean about people's reactions when you call yourself a Christian and you make a mistake. Just because I call myself a Christian doesn't mean I claim to be perfect. But because of people's presuppositions of Christians, it seems like it doesn't matter how many times you say that, you will never lose the standards THEY have set for you.
I love it....I'm on my way over :) lol....This was a PERFECT post today! Some people that aren't Christians THINK we THINK we're perfect...and like you, I wish they didn't. I feel sorry for those with no personal relationship with Christ...it makes for a sad life!

Your new space looks fab - I can see why you're sitting out there rather than at the computer :)
And soooo true about how we're judged as Christians. Tirades about hypocrites and the like. But it's so much easier for people to point out flaws rather than deal with the uncomfortable truth of their own frail humanity...
If I lived closer, I'd so be over so you could take care of me and all my issues that have been going on lately! I'd even bring brownies, or cookies, or bread and jam, or something yummy to eat!
Congrats on being a rockin' blog girl again! You deserve it!!!
