This Blogger is Checking out for a WEEK!!! I'm going to be vacationing ( hey is that a word?? the world may never know cause the spell check is STILL not working)... So I've decided to devote most of my time to my hubby and finding a new washing machine.. ( find a new one is HARD where I live without waiting a month for it to come in.. and the laundrymats are down right frightful here sometimes!!) So... I'll check back in about a week.. and catch up with all of you that I normally read and respond to!! ( well actually all that I read I HAVE to leave a comment.. Ok.. silly as it may sound.. I am SUPER excited that Jack Black is hosting the kids choice awards on Nikelodeon!!! He is truly a kid trapped in a big kids body!! I couldn't imagine being around this guy 24/7!!

*** My review of the last book I read... at first I thought I was going to have to put it down... but then it got MUCH better.. and is truly a GREAT story about Love and forgiveness!! I highly recommend it!!

Here's what I'm reading...My previous book "The Measure of a Lady " was VERY VERY good... I highly recommend it!!

It's late at night... and I'm truly tired but I'm not winding down... ever have those nights?? tonight is my night .. so I decided I would hop on her and show you what I've been up to these past couple of days....

I decided... at the spur of the moment I was going to make my OWN cadbury cream eggs.. LOL LOL... I must have been crazy because it is literally a 7 hours process.. if NOT more!! So I thought I would share my pictures of my creation... Please note.. they are not egg shaped.. but more flat on one side and egg shaped on the other... Oh well.... Here's a sneak peak!! Yesterday .. I had a day full of appointments and I really didn't plan out my baking very well and I started making herbed hamburger rolls... The dough rose once.. and because of timing I had to let it rise again.. shape them.. and then rise AGAIN!! I thought they might not work... but I was wrong... they came out so nice... this particular one came out looking like a heart!! We ate them up tonight with our hamburgers and Havarti and dill cheese... YUM!!!

I found this cute cute Valentines Day Card in Paper Crafts 2006... it is a Heidi Swapp Design.. the instructions were VERY VAGUE.. so I had to dive in and figure out all the items.. I made my own hearts on this card and my own YOU title... The colors are a bit different too.. but the whole concept is hers.. I just altered it!! I mailed these out to a couple of friends and my nieces and nephews..!!
What I'm reading!! Hubby and I are NOT in financial trouble... we barely have debt... I wanted to read this book to actually gain more knowledge about money.. how to invest... save more.. I love his quote.. LOVE IT!! "Don't even consider keeping up with the Joneses"... "They're Broke"... And in this book it states that 90%.. YES 90% of American's buy stuff they CAN NOT AFFORD!! Now don't get me wrong.. I'm not sitting in a castle with servants... we're your average Joe's... and there have been many times I do get depressed with what other's have.. fancier homes.. nicer vehicles.. even nicer clothes... but deep down... I know that I am BLESSED.. I know that my kids are happy.. and probably because of my frugalness... they do pretty well with their own money!! Kids learn from their parents... I don't want them to learn.. life is about credit.. I want them to learn.. if you have the cash.. then you can do it!! Owe NO man anything!!!

I baked today!! Where I work there is a sandwich bar and you can pick and chose the bread you want, your meats, and veggies and the lovely people behind the counter make up the sandwiches for you! To me.. there is just something spectacular tasting when someone else makes your sandwiches. Your plain ole bologna can taste, just that.. Plain.. But go to your girlfriends house and her bologna taste like PRIME RIB!!

So.. one day the only bread they had left at this counter was Sunflower Bread... HUH?? What?? ummm.. ewwww.. I HATE nuts.. nuts in anything.. just YUCK!.. But I was hungry and said.. "ok.. give me that.. " That BREAD WAS THE BEST! Now anytime I get a sandwich and they don't HAVE the bread I'm bummed...

However.. through an e-mail group someone e-mailed this recipe for Sunflower Bread... So I HAD to try it to see if it stood up to the ole work bread. This bread EVEN WENT FARTHER than works bread!! this bread was OUTSTANDING!!

So here it is!! This is on it's side!!

So.. I think I should share the recipe with you!! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!! TRY IT!!

Sunflower Bread ( The real name is Sun nut but it's sunflower to me!)
I am giving you the "bigger" of the two recipes!

1 Cup Warm Water
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP butter, softened
3 TBSP honey
2 TBSP dry milk
2 1/2 cups bread flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3 tsp active dry yeast

Place all ingredients in bread pan according to manufacturer's suggestion.
I set it on the dough cycle ( takes about 1 hour 40 minutes)
When that's done I take it out of the machine and place in a sprayed bread loaf pan and cover and let rise again ( about 40 minutes) in a dry warm area. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting! Slather with butter and enjoy.. or use for sandwiches. I think it tastes BEST with a chicken salad or Roast beef....!!
