Each person should judge his own actions and not compare himself with others. Then he can be proud for what he himself has done. Galatians 6:4

Wish Lists

I have been tagged by Melissa.

1.Write two lists of 5 items each...one material list and one spiritual list.
2. Tag 5 people to complete this as well. Go to their blogs and let them know you tagged them.

Why is it that it's WAYYYYYYYY easier to give the material list than the spiritual list???

Ok.. Here it goes...

SPIRITUAL
1. I would love to find a church family. I spent 10 years in my last church and in the end it never really felt like a family. Now when I see people from my past church they actually ignore me. ( just happened the day we went to the library!!)

2. I would love to engage in true friendships. Don't get me wrong.. I love the friends I have.. however... most of the friends I have will make plans and then cancel at the last minute... I guess that's why I shy away from getting close to others. I guess in truth I should never put "expectations" on any of them.

3. Devotions.. I truly slack in devotions.. I need to make more time for them and less time for other things.

4. I would like to use the gifts that God gave me without feeling that I'll fail at every attempt and give up.

5. I wish I could carry a tune.. because I would always sing unto the Lord... I guess I do now.. but I don't want to bust anyone Else's eardrums in the process... Ü

MATERIAL
1. Well if anyone knows me.. they would know that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a new NIKON Digital Camera.... I have been saving for it.. but.. it's a long save.. Ü

2. I wish that I never had to worry about oil.. I seriously stress almost to tears over the cost of it. It should not cost anyone $600. PLUS ever month and a half to heat their home. It's due to pure greed and it saddens me and makes me hurt for those that have to choose between eating or being warm.

3. I would love to redesign my kitchen. I would really love state of the art kitchen appliances... however.. I would love them fashioned to look like they were 100 years old.

4. A library in my house with never a loss for a book to read!

5. A boat for my husband.

I'm not very good at choosing just 5 people... so I say.. if you want to grab this.. then feel free... if not .. that's ok too.. however if you do ..do it.. come and let me know.. I'd love to read and comment!!

What I'm reading...

Wow - it's been a long time since I hopped over to see how you were! I've loved "catching up" on your blog.

That 5 spiritual/5 material things list is neat. I may have to do that one of these days.

Copied down the recipe for the Oreo Truffles. Sounds like a headache waiting to happen with that much yumminess all wrapped into one little bite!

Sorry your son's teachers aren't the greatest. It's hard to be a teacher and have others of the profession be so, shall we say, unprofessional? I'm hoping he'll have a good rest of the year.

Love your flip-flop tree ornament - just so cute!

This is a good list, and I agree..it's always harder to come up with those intangibles, isn't it. But you came up with some wonderful ones, that's for sure!

Great list! I'm gonna do it on my blog cuz I really want to see what the Holy Spirit nudges at my heart for the spiritual list...although I already know a few!
I always enjoy reading your entries. Maybe you could do a few book reviews when you finish the books you read? I'm always looking for a good read...and the time to read :)

What a great post; thanks for sharing so honestly. Right now I'm just wishing I could drive up there and give you a HUGE hug. Life is sooo much tougher when you don't have a church family. We did the church hop for a long time (and with long periods at a few places) but still hadn't found a place. Five years ago, though, we found our place. Through an ad in the yellow pages! It has been such a blessing, and has provided the true friendships that I treasure so very much. I'll be praying about these things for you!
