Each person should judge his own actions and not compare himself with others. Then he can be proud for what he himself has done. Galatians 6:4

Brrrr... Brrrr... Brrrr....

That's what I keep saying... Ok.. let me just tell you I LOVE my home.. it was built in 1914! But can I ask.. how in tarnations did they survive the winters in this house with NO insulation and just wood heat??? We need new windows... We need to insulate... We need siding.. We need... We need..... But I don't want to give up my home.... It has so much character.. that is me! Well... my kitchen does need some help too... but it's huge.. and it's mine... right??

Today my hubby and I are going to make some fancy window covers... plastic and wood.. LOL LOL As much as I hate to do it.. We HAVE to...Oil is to expensive NOT to... We have hard wood floors as well.. and I've dug out throw rugs and BEGGED one off of my friend.. LOL LOL... Thank Goodness for friends... I even bought a special fancy pink roll of insulation of the Pink Panther to insulate underneath my pocket doors in my living/dinning room area.... I know this might sound like a lot of work and seem silly .... but I could never leave New England.. it's just one of the things that comes with the territory.... Someday we'll have new windows ( hoping next).. and siding... and roof.... but for now... I feel blessed that we have a home.. and that I don't have to work full-time just to keep it... We may not have the best... but my kids will get the best of me.. ( that's NOT to knock moms that do work outside the home.. I did it for a couple years and I WAS not a "BEST" mommy then at all)

So last night I made up a few cute little goodies for my niece and nephews.... I just had to share....

First I have to show you my vintage Santa.. I LOVE HIM!!

Check these out.. they are little bags of M&M's.....

I made the little ornaments too that are surrounding it...!!

Up Close look
The Poem
As you hold these candies
In your hand,
And turn them,
You will see,
The M becomes a W,
An E, and then a 3.
They tell the Christmas story,
It's one I'm sure you know.
It took place in a stable,
A long, long time ago.
The E is for the East,
Where the star shone so bright.
The M is for the Manger,
Where Baby Jesus slept that night.
The 3 is for the Wise men,
Bearing gifts, they say they came.
W is for Worship, Hallelujah, Praise His Name.
So as you eat these candies
Or share them with a friend
Remember the meaning of Christmas,
It's a Love story that never ends.
