Each person should judge his own actions and not compare himself with others. Then he can be proud for what he himself has done. Galatians 6:4

GUESS WHAT??? It's November First!! I love new months! They are kind of like "refreshers".. ok.. you know how last month was awful.. well this month will be better... that kind of thing. At least in my mind I'm hoping so. As I was driving home from work today ( 30 minute ride) I was secretly hoping to see everyone's halloween decorations off display. I don't know why but I just don't like the holiday. YES.. I did give candy out.. but that was extent. I've been trying to figure out how to grasp this horrible past month I've had... How can I make it go from blah to better.... still thinking and praying on that...
But I figure.. if we can take nasty looking BLACK bananas and add a few ingredients to them we can get a YUMMY, heartwarming, tasty bread from them.. then anything is possible! This bread never lasts. I believe the last piece was available the next morning and I think hubby chowed that right up.
I use to make this bread while doing weight watchers too... and always did good with it!!
Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk ( fat free if WW)
1 scant tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening ( if doing WW I used blue bell low fat margarine)
Mash bananas, sugar, and shortening. Add milk, then add sifted dry ingredients. Grease and flour 1 loaf pan. Bake 1 hour or until done in 350 degree oven. For Weight Watchers serve 12-3 points each!!

Ooohhh I LOVE banana bread. Especially with nuts. And fresh out of the oven, nice and warm is ALWAYS the best way to eat it. Mmmmmmm.
