Each person should judge his own actions and not compare himself with others. Then he can be proud for what he himself has done. Galatians 6:4

I know it's not winter now.. but this WWII poster stuck in my mind.. because before we know it.. winter will be on us again.. And with the rising food costs and oil costs... gosh! We have to start preparing now!.. yet again...

One of my favorite passions is yardsaling and finding cool finds.. but with gas prices.. I'm wondering how far I will be limited to go this summer...I don't want to waste my $ just to look for deals...

This weekend though I got a call from a friend who was doing a yardsale and her house with other co-workers.. she said I had to get there "NOW".. So I popped on over.. and and WOW!! The vintage stuff that was there.. was CRAZY!! I LOVE IT!! I'm a sucker for vintage materials... and my heart soared when I found table clothes!! I found many other dish towels and such and I found the CUTEST cupboard liners!! I paid $3 for my whole lot of items...I really couldn't go wrong!

The middle table cloth is really my favorite.. My dining room table is a big farm table so it's to small to adorn there the way I would like it too so I'm just going to have to come up with some other ideas for them!!
Are these NOT the cutest?? I got several packages of each!! I do NEED to re-do my kitchen.. so maybe these will give me some inspirations! I hate messes.. so knowing me... I'll sit on these ideas for a few months before I do it..And what I'm reading now!

The color blue will never be the same to me...nor your doctor I'm sure!

You scored good! I need a table cloth for my dining room table; never thought to yard sale it!

When do you have time to read....you always seem to have a new book!

I am not normally a person who goes for textiles. But I found some old tableclothes recently at my grandpa's house... stuffed in a place where they hadn't been used in probably decades. They were yellowed with age, but I took them home and I'm going to use them when we camp.

I have to ask you this... what do you do with all your books after you read them? Ever done a give-away? (Am I subtle or what?)

I'm considering doing one, but I'm not sure if there are rules to follow. I must know if there are rules to follow.

I love vintage textiles also.

Could you possibly layer the tablecloth that is your favorite?

That's what I do. I have this perfectly square table cloth (remember the formica dinettes? perfect squares) and my table is round (or oval if I have leaf in) so I place a round cloth on then the square one on top. I place it like a diamond shape, so two of the points face left and right, and the other two face up and down. Does that make sense? It's hard for me to describe.

And no more talk of winter, please. I don't want to even think about winter for awhile! LOL!
